What is common between a bacterium and Schizosaccharomyces?
Schizosaccharomyces are classified as Fungi but have some common features with Bacteria.
They are unicellular organisms. They have a cell wall made up of polysaccharides together with the cell membrane. Both undergo anaerobic respiration. Both undergo extracellular digestion.
