India’s topography is endowed with almost all the important topographical features it has an extensive plateau and wide plains traversed by mighty rivers it is also bounded by the Himalayas in the north and has a large peninsular region towards the Indian ocean.
India’s geography greatly influenced the location of early settlements on the subcontinent. Both Indus the Indus and the genes rivers carried with the fertile silt from the mountains to the plans the silt spread over the plains and made the soil the soil around the river valley more fertile hence encouraging settlement around the areas and encouraged farming too Indian coastal region and proximity to Africa and southwest to Asia also tied it to various trade thus allowing the country to become rich in terms of trade

Buddhism gave the greatest bounce to the orthodox Brahmas. Buddhism exercised a lot of influence in sharping the various aspects of Indian society. It developed a religion without any complicated elaborate and unintelligible rituals requiring a priestly class. It emphasized non -violence and the holiness of animal life. the Indus were originally meat eaters but due to the influence of Buddhism, they became vegetarian hence it laid a start for major reforms in India. Buddhism exercised a huge influence on Indian culture by enriching religion, art, language sculpture, and literature.
Buddhism presented an attempt at rebelling. Buddhism and Hinduism had their difference because Buddhism rejected the priests of Hinduism, the formal ritual, and the caste system. buddha urged people to seek enlightenment through meditation hence it represented an attempt of rebellion
